SHOP COLLECTIONS…
Working in a series and creating a body of work is a feeling like no other. Once the idea starts to percolate and gets to the boiling point, well the work just has to be made.
I created Provisions…because I found an old pad of paper with what appeared to be several grocery lists. Looking through it I could see that bread and eggs were just cents and the lists were simple provisions for a family. Each piece of art incorporates pieces of the lists.
Works on Paper…was my continued exploration of combining different mediums with paper in a more abstract way.
The inspiration for my latest body of work, Falling into Winter, comes from the beautiful transition between autumn and winter in the Northeast. The warm rusts, greens, golds, and browns give way to the cool greys, white, creams and blues. These mixed media pieces represent the transition in an abstract way.
