This morning my brain was short circuiting and I was feeling anxious so I
headed out with my camera and my trusty companion, Wallace, for a walk
in the woods near my house. It was a beautiful morning and just being
intentional about walking slow and looking at things instead of rushing
by was a nice change a pace. The walk, although not nearly aerobic enough, cleared my head and helped me breath deep and take in the beauty around
me.
While I was walking I was thinking about the term "shooting from the hip". I don't know what the original meaning was but I realized that's where my camera sits if I'm using my strap, so I'm thinking it has something to do with photography. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to shoot from my hip one day a week and see what I come up with. This may not be a new idea but it is for me. So today is "shoot from the hip" day and the last photo in black and white is my first attempt at it. I think it will be fun since you can't see what's in the viewfinder.
