Welcome to Art on the Go…Create your own travel kit. I love taking work with me when I am out of the studio so I wanted to create a travel kit that was functional, durable, and beautiful to look at. Using raw canvas as the base ticks off all the boxes and provides a great surface to work on.

I have a list of supplies for you below but don’t feel pressure to purchase anything. Please use what you have first.

Raw canvas 

Gesso

Acrylic paints in the color palette you like

Rusted fabric: this can be linen or muslin. The rust dying technique will be covered in class

Embroidery floss and needle (the needle has to have a large eye and a point not a dull end)

Photograph printed on computer paper for photo transfer. Can be anything you want.

Awl

Leather lacing

Elastic

Mark making tools

Small thin sticks to collage

Collage papers

Matte medium

Brayer 

Key card or old credit card and wax paper
