Provisions...In a Row
Provisions...In a Row
This new body of work started with an idea to create pieces using some vintage shopping lists that I found. I have no idea how old the lists are but bread was a quarter. The items on the lists are very basic but provided the person or family with what they needed. Each piece in the collection is set on a table with examples of simple pleasures like fruit and/or flowers and the lists are used to create the vessels, food, and the table top. They are abstract and somewhat playful in their design full of layers and texture.
This piece measures 12 x 12 x 1 3/8
The sides are painted black.
It is wired and ready to hang.
It is signed and dated on the back
Materials used are acrylic paints, pencil, graphite and collage paper (vintage and hand painted)
