Mixed media weaving is a weaving using alternative materials to traditional yarns and threads. If it can be woven then it is fair game. It is so much fun to try different materials to see how they work. The finished piece can be displayed by mounting it to mat board and put in a frame or secured to a piece of driftwood to hang.

Materials: hand spun yarn, muslin with photo transfer of one of my photographs, jute, and kitchen twine. Embellished with rusty metal and palm fibers. Back is finished with linen.
