Mixed media weaving is a weaving using alternative materials to traditional yarns and threads. If it can be woven then it is fair game. It is so much fun to try different materials to see how they work. The finished piece can be displayed by mounting it to mat board and put in a frame or secured to a piece of driftwood to hang.

Materials: yarn, rust dyed linen that is stamped, kitchen twine, garden twine, book cover, cheese cloth, coffee filter and jute. The back is finished with a piece of linen and it is embellished with a small stick stitched on.
