Me Ra Koh Confindence Workshop

I have loved photography for as long as I can remember and still life photography has been my creative fuel for some time.  I have always enjoyed taking photographs of friends and family and decided that I could combine both having the beauty of the details and the storytelling together.  It is a winning combination.  I had the privilege of attending a women's workshop this past weekend in Washington D.C. and it did not disappoint.  Me Ra Koh and her husband Brian Tausend taught a two day workshop with 25 female photographers and it was amazing.  The first day moms and babies came to model and the second day families came.  The experience was remarkable.  These babies, moms, and families were so much fun.
Me Ra and Brian do workshops all over the country and I can tell you from my experience it was a wonderful!

Rust

I don't know what it is about rust but I think it is so appealing.  It says I'm worn and tired but I'm still beautiful.  This truck was on the side of the road begging for a photo-op so I had to stop.  While the spelling is a little off the tomatoes were delicious.

Fall day and horses

I wish I had a good excuse about being absent from this blog but I don't.  I just stopped writing and now I'm starting again.  This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph my niece when she was riding.

Father's Day

This is my dad!  He was a wonderful man and great father.  Humor was so much a part of who he was and I miss that most about him.  He could always make us laugh.  He passed last August so this is the first Father's Day I have had without him.  He was loved!
Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there.

Summer Heat

Well, summer has shown up in full force in the northeast.  It is 95 here in CT. and it is brutal.  I really don't like the heat and I know I'm not alone.  My hubs put in the AC yesterday.  They are kind of like dinasours.  They are old but they keep on working so it's hard to part with them.  I'm working on cards today for a few shops that I sell to and I have a table at a local farmers market on Fridays that I'm getting ready for.  It is a beautiful location and they allow artisans as well as food vendors which is nice.  I will take some pics tomorrow.  Anyway just trying to think of things to do inside today.  Stay cool!
