My family...

This is my wonderful family (minus hubby and myself).

And this is my family in puzzle form.....

This was a gift from my eldest son and I thought it was fun to share.  That was our Christmas picture, that a friend took, and he had it made into the puzzle.  Check out the site.
My two older boys live in Boulder, CO. and love it. (what's not to love) and my youngest is in high school.
My eldest son got married last April and we are very excited to have a daughter-in-law.
The snow is starting to melt here.  Hope it is where you are...

A little fun with words...

The northeast is being hit again with terrible weather.  Even in the snow I venture out so I don't get cabin fever but I think today I'm in for the day.  Everything and I mean everything is covered in ice.
My sister gave me some flowers the other day and I had fun playing around with them and some words to brighten up the day.  Let me know which one you like best.  Just for fun...

I would rather be looking at these than this.............

The Late Snow....

Yesterday my husband drove home from Maryland to Connecticut in a terrible snow storm.  It took him 12 hours to get home, arriving around 4:00 am.  I waited up for him because I was worried about him driving.   Around 3:00 am I opened my back door to look at the snow and it was so bright outside and so beautiful that I got my camera and tripod and snapped some pics.  This was the best one and I thought it looked better in black and white.  No extra light just the reflective light from the snow.

French Inspired...

Although I have been experiencing a blogging block and the snow blues, I have been working hard at opening another esty shop.  I started l.a.r.handmade and I have been working on some new cake stands.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I used to work in the bakery and cheese section of a family owned gourmet shop.  That's when I started making the cake stands.  Not only are they fun for cookies and cupcakes but they can be used in other ways as well.   Here are a few pics just to show that I haven't gone into hibernation.

Where have all the flowers gone?????

It has occurred to me that I have been MIA this week.  I haven't posted since the 13th, I've stopped by a few blogs but didn't comment,  I have felt overwhelmed and under inspired.  Why does that happen?  It's a question that baffles me.  Maybe it's the snow, more snow, and more snow coming.   I don't really have an answer but I'm starting to feel more inspired and starting to come out of that funk.

I decided that posting some of my favorite flower photos might help me think of spring somewhere out there in the future.....
I hope you are having a great week.  Stay warm... I've got may hot water bottle out today.
